To type a copyright symbol on a Mac, just press the option and g keys at the same time (option+g). Easy!

If the shortcut doesn't work in your app, you have a few options:

• Copy and paste the copyright symbol from this page: ©
• Or open TextEdit, type option+g, then copy and paste the copyright symbol into your other app.
• Or use the Character Viewer to insert a copyright symbol or any other special characters into your text.
