Using The Login Background Tab |
The Login Background is the image you see behind your Login Panel before you login to Mac OS X. Apple's default Login Background is an aqua blue image with swooshes. You may change the background image for your login screen by choosing a Login Background from the popup menu in the Login Background tab.
Obtaining More Login Backgrounds
There are numerous images available for download from the web which
look great as Login Backgrounds. Do a web search for "desktop pictures"
or "desktop wallpaper." macdesktops.com, digitalblasphemy.com and resexcellence.com all have nice collections of desktop pictures.
The image you use must be a jpg image. However, programs such
as Preview and GraphicConverter allow you to easily convert between image formats. You may use any jpg image as your login background. Click
the "Import" button in the Login Background tab to use your image in Visage. |
Randomizing Your Login Backgrounds
The popup menu in the Login Background tab contains a "Pick Randomly"
option. If you select this option, your Login Background will be
picked randomly from your collection every time you logout. This
allows you to automatically see a different one of your favorite Login
Backgrounds every time you see your login screen! |
